Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the EU to the Republic of Serbia H.E. Emanuele Giaufret hosted a meeting with the Minister of Justice of Austria, on March 25, 2024 in Belgrade. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Austria H.E. Christian Ebner and his associates, Deputy Ambassador of the FR Germany, Mr. Wiefhausen, representatives of the Austrian Development Agency from Vienna and of the "Facility Supporting Strengthening the Rule of Law in Serbia".
This was an opportunity to briefly present this Project to Minister Zadić, and particularly work packages 1 and 6, which are partially financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation and implemented by the Austrian Development Agency (through the International Anti-Corruption, Centre of Legal Competence CLC and individual experts). The EUD representatives emphasized that in the realization of the mentioned activity packages, focused on support to the of the sectoral strategic documents, there is a strong coordination and cooperation between the EU Delegation to Serbia, Austrian Development Agency and beneficiary institutions.
Minister Zadić expressed particular interest in the cooperation of the Project with beneficiary institutions. H.E. Ambassador Giaufret emphasized the importance of this Project for fulfilling the interim benchmarks envisaged by the Action Plan for Chapter 23 and thereby for the accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union.
